Origin
The archivists found it pinned to a dead trunk on the Skullwood side of the flame line. Wings spread flat. Facing the fire.
Each wing is a skull. The two faces meet at a segmented red body and grin outward in opposite directions. Deep black sockets hold a single red ember apiece. Bone-white brows sweep up into the forewings, and the lower wings fall away in black-veined panels of red edged with a thin rose rim. A heavy black outline runs around every shape like it was traced by a needle. The antennae curl forward and end in red drops.
