Striped in bone and shadow. Every stripe is a scar on the canopy, a band of bark-fused fur laid over musculature that reads as predatory and inevitable. The bone-white runs through the coat where the forest's skeleton shows, and the skull sits under the face the way it sits under every face in Skullwood. Mounted for display, it surveys whatever room it is given the way it surveyed the timber.
